The best early Black Friday fitness deals for 2024
I’m a fitness editor who’s been covering Black Friday deals for years and these are the best discounts I’ve seen so far
Black Friday fitness deals have come early. While the event technically kicks off on November 29, lots of brands have already gone live with their discounts. This means that rather than frantically scrolling for bargains on Black Friday itself, you can relax and shop for the whole month.
However, there’s still a lot of price gauging around, with some retailers hiking the cost of an item then dropping it dramatically, so the savings look more significant. To save you from falling into that trap, I’ve tracked the prices of all of the items below.
These recommendations all come from me and the team at Fit&Well, a bunch of fitness enthusiasts who love swinging around weights, sampling protein powders and testing out gym equipment.
If you're looking for more specific discounts, have a look at our other round-up pages: Black Friday Fitbit discounts, Black Friday rowing machines, Black Friday weights deals and Black Friday protein powder.
Quick links
- Amazon US: Deals on fitness trackers and resistance bands
- Target: Discounts on all kinds of sports equipment
- Dick’s Sporting Goods: Savings on treadmills, weights and more
- Walmart: Get adjustable dumbbells and cardio machines for less
- Best Buy: Discounted massage guns and more 💪
- MyProtein: Up to 50% of powders, bars and snacks
Black Friday fitness trackers
This is an impressive deal on an entry-level running watch, which is only a couple of years old. It can guide you through running plans, track your workouts and monitor your heart rate. Garmin is well-known for its accurate GPS, so it should be able to tell you your precise run times.
There's an impressive $80 saving on this smartwatch, which is brilliant for tracking exercise activities, sleep and stress.
Black Friday shoe deals
Our favorite gym shoe is now $40 cheaper, thanks to this great Amazon discount. It’s a brilliant all-rounder, topping our list of the best cross-training shoes in 2024. It’s ideal for tough gym sessions, weight training and speedy HIIT routines
You can save 20% on this hugely popular, mega-cushioned running shoe at the moment. It’s great for road running but it also features in our round-up of the best walking shoes. Our reviewer described them as the “softest, comfiest and bounciest shoes” they’ve ever tested.
Adidas Terrex Free Hiker Low 2: was $180.00, now starting from $88 at Amazon
These brilliant off-road shoes were a hit with our tester thanks to their water resistant design. They are comfy, with ample cushioning, but firm on the top for foot protection.
Black Friday weights
This set of hex dumbbells is useful if you're starting out with strength training. Their shape means they won't roll away when you put them on the floor and you can lean on them during moves like the renegade row. They're discounted by $60 ahead of Black Friday.
Adjustable dumbbells give you access to a range of weights in one compact package. This set was already reasonably priced at just under $50 but it now even cheaper.
Yes, these dumbbells are pricey, but they carry a lot of weight and have a great quick-change mechanism. Each one of the 1090 dumbbells can be loaded up to 90lb; sufficient to challenge most people.
This set of lighter dumbbells is another good option for beginners. The wide handle suits moves like the kettlebll swing; just make sure you've got your form nailed before moving onto heavier loads.
High quality, budget-friendly weights are hard to find, but that's precisely what Yes4All offer. This trio is great for anyone who needs a more challenging load than the options above.
Don't want to clog up your house with dumbbells and kettlebells? Try using cheap resistance bands instead. They're easy to store and can be used to add load to most moves like squats bent-over rows. These long-looped models can also be used to assist pull-ups.
Put these small-looped bands around your thighs when squatting or performing the clam exercise and you'll ramp up the challenge and feel the burn.
Black Friday rowing machine deals
This has already been reduced to a price much lower than last year's deal. The rower makes great use of gamification, encouraging you to log on and challenge yourself to outpace rivals.
Best Black Friday price last year: $1,999
This is one of the cheapest models we've tested, but it still stood up to the challenge of fast-paced rowing sessions and longer races too. It's currently a steal at under $600.
Price match: Best Buy
There's no in-built screen on this model, which is why it's so much cheaper than the others. Instead, you simply plug in a tablet or phone into the holder, log onto the Echelon platform, and enjoy their rowing sessions.
Best Black Friday price last year: $599.99
This slick machine is one of the best we've tested. They regularly do discounts; this is the lowest price we've seen on the model, but we would expect to see it at a similar price point in January.
Best Black Friday price last year: $1,445
You'll need to sign up to the iFit platform to get the most out of this rowing machine, but once you do that you'll get access to all of your metrics plus special classes.
Price match: Best Buy
The higher seat of this model might suit you better if you have limited mobility. It currently has a $500 discount applied. We enjoyed its gamified approach to exercise when we tested it out previously.
Price match: Amazon
This is the sturdy, long-lasting machine that you wil find in most gyms and CrossFit boxes across the country. It's not discounted (because it never is) but if you want a rowing machine that lasts, this is still our top recommendation.
Black Friday protein powders
This isolate protein powder is discounted to less than half price at the moment. You can grab it in an unflavored version or try one f the creamier options.
A light and refreshing alternative to creamier shakes, this is one of Fit&Well's favorites.
This creamy vegan protein powder packs in 20g of protein per scoop. It's won various awards and is currently reduced by $33.

How to find the best Black Friday and Cyber Monday fitness deals
To get the most out of the online Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, take a look at these simple rules for the big weekend:
- Keep checking back: we’ll be updating this page regularly.
- Shop around: Some deals are going to look fantastic, with huge price cuts, but occasionally some of these prices will have been inflated before being cut. Look at other stores to find out the real value of what you're buying.
- Check the stock levels: Most retailers will flag a product with a small message when it's low in stock. Look for this before deciding to go elsewhere, as you may come back and find it all gone.
- Get a Prime account: To really get the best out of Amazon (including free shipping), you'll want a Prime account. If you don't want to continue with the benefits Prime membership delivers, then just cancel the trial.
- Pay securely: Scammers are out there looking for your card details. Credit cards offer a more secure way to pay than debit cards, or you can set up your card on services like PayPal for an extra layer of protection.
- Aim for the big-ticket items first: Proportionately, you'll get the biggest savings on the biggest items. If you've been considering buying one of the best treadmills or an expensive fitness watch for a while, now is the time to shop around and pull the trigger.
What dates are Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals?
In 2024, Black Friday falls on November 29, with most deals continuing until Cyber Monday on December 2. However, over the years, retailers have started to extend their discounts to cover the weeks surrounding the event, with some starting as early as October and lasting into the Christmas sales.
We’ll continue to update this page with the best savings on offer throughout this period, so make sure to bookmark it and keep checking back for the latest fitness deals.
