Get 20% off supplements tailored to you with Gainful
Take the quiz and get protein powder and other supplements that suit your lifestyle
Supplements can be a helpful way to augment a healthy diet, especially when you have particular goals in mind such as losing weight or gaining muscle. However, selecting the right type of supplement or protein powder to support your goals can take a lot of research and potentially lead you down a lot of blind alleys.
One company that's doing things a little differently is Gainful. It offers a wide range of supplements—whey and vegan protein powder, creatine, greens, pre-workout, hydration supplements and fiber—but tailors the quantities of certain ingredients according to a survey that takes less than five minutes to fill in.
And just for Fit&Well readers, Gainful is offering 20% off everything with the code FIT4WELL20.

I took the Gainful quiz (twice)—here's what happened
Obviously, before telling readers about the Gainful quiz I had to try it myself. In fact, I tried it twice—once with real answers and once with different answers to see if it would change the formulations. And yes it did.
For instance, it changed the whey protein powder to a vegan option when I said I was lactose intolerant, and it took the caffeine out of the pre-workout because (I assume) I told it I worked out late in the afternoon and slept poorly.
I like this idea of adjusting supplements based on a quiz, but what I like even more is that if you subscribe, you can call on the services of a dietitian—a professional who has the kind of credentials we look for when sourcing nutrition advice for Fit&Well readers—to make adjustments to your supplements as your needs change, or get more general advice on how to reach your fitness goals.
