I test walking shoes for a living and my favorite pair of Skechers are less than $60 for Prime Day

I've tested more than 30 pairs of walking shoes and this pair made it into my top 10

I test walking shoes for our best walking shoes guide and have been keeping an eye out for discounts on my favorites. The Skechers GO Walk 7 earned themselves four stars out of five when I tested them earlier this year and I think they make a great casual, stylish shoe, as well as being comfortable enough to be worn all day every day.

They currently have a 20% discount in the Amazon Prime Day sale, bringing the price down by $15 to $59.99. That makes them almost a better option for bargain hunters than the "best budget" option in the walking shoe guide, the Gola Lansen, which is retailing at $54.19 with no discount. The Skechers Go Walk 7 is a much higher-quality shoe, so you'd be doing your feet a favor by spending an extra $6—getting a lot more cushioning and arch support for your money.

Save 20% I've tested multiple pairs of Skechers shoes and these are the current my favorites. They're comfortable, well-cushioned and bouncy, making them perfect for many hours of sightseeing in a city or working long shifts on your feet.

Many of the shoes I test are purpose-built road running shoes, as these seem to be some of the best-designed footwear in terms of cushioning and energy return. However, they tend to be bright, loud, and chunky, which isn't to everyone's tastes. These walking shoes from Skechers have a more understated design to go well with any outfit, while still giving you the comfort and support you need for walking long distances.

They're easy to get on and off your feet, with tabs at the back of the heel to help pull them on, and the laces slip undone easily when you want to take the shoes off.
