I'm a fitness writer and this is why I think you should invest in an Amazon Basics Kettlebell this Prime Day

Snap up a bargain on reduced weights this October Prime Day

A man and woman perform kettlebell swings in a living room. They are both stood with legs slightly wider than hip-width apart, with their arms straight in front of them holding the kettlebell as it swings out in front of them. Behind them we see an arm chair and an exercise bike.

As a fitness writer, I work out a lot at home and I've tested plenty of kettlebells in my time. To save my floors from scuffs and marks, I'll always choose vinyl kettlebells, like this one from Amazon Basics, now with a 22% reduction for Prime Big Deals Day.

I use my Amazon Basics kettlebells to add extra resistance to my goblet squats and glute bridges. The vinyl coating makes these some of the best kettlebells you can buy on a budget, as it makes them tough and slip-resistant. I've set myself up with a decent home gym with a selection of different sizes and have yet to meet an Amazon Basics kettlebell that I don't like.

I often struggle to find kettlebells that suit my small hands, but with the slim handle, they're perfect for dynamic moves like the kettlebell swing and I have no trouble with my grip.

Save 22% This Vinyl coated kettlebell has a flat bottom for stability to stop it from toppling over and the coating will save your floors from scuffs and marks. I like the bright colors of the vinyl range and they make a cheerful addition to any home gym.

If this isn't the right kettlebell for you, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for more reductions throughout this Amazon sales event and writing up the best ones I find.

I'm really fussy about my kettlebells, so I won't recommend something I wouldn't personally use myself. The great thing about the Amazon Basics range is that even at full price, they're an affordable product, but still high-quality. The price of weights tends to increase with the heaviness, so for a 40lb kettlebell like this, a $10 discount is not to be sniffed at.
