Brooks makes some of the most comfortable running and walking shoes around, and you can save up to $50 on the Glycerin 21

I test a lot of walking shoes for this job and have found that there are several boxes that I need a shoe to tick before I recommend it. The Brooks Glycerin 21 ticks all of them, achieving a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. It has super-soft cushioning underfoot, great energy return from the bouncy sole and a comfortable upper that hugs the foot.

Currently, you can save more than $50 on the women's Brooks Glycerin 21 for Amazon's Big Deals Day sales event. It's worth noting that the deal is only on certain colorways and sizes due to the way Amazon lists shoes.

Brooks Glycerin 21 was $159.95, now starting from $108.99 at Amazon

Save up to 32% These shoes are designed for road running and offer cloud-like cushioning and a bouncy sole that will support your foot for hours of running or walking.

I've tested a few Brooks shoes and found that I didn't get on so well with the Ghost range, but the Glycerin 21 has none of the issues I experienced with the Ghost 15 and 16. The outsoles have plenty of grip, which is a must for any walking shoe, but particularly for shoes that are designed for use on the road. Slippery wet concrete is no joke!

I would put these shoes on par with the Hoka Clifton 9 and Nike Pegasus 40 for cushioning and bounce. If you like these shoes but are looking for something slightly different at a reduced price, the Brooks Glycerin 21 is a great shoe to choose.
