I got my fastest 5K running time in these best-selling shoes from Brooks—and they’re currently at their lowest price in the Amazon Spring Sale
This light, well-cushioned shoe is a hit with runners

Last year, I downloaded a running plan in an attempt to speed up my 5K times.
I armed myself with a pair of Brooks Ghost 16 and spent months racking up slow miles to improve my base fitness and cardio endurance.
I finally managed to get my 5k running time under 30 minutes, finishing at 28min 39sec.
Switching my old sneakers for the Brooks Ghost 16 definitely helped. The shoes’ comfort and bounce kept me comfortable on concrete surfaces, even when tackling longer 10km jogs.
The shoes came out about a year ago, but I haven’t seen them discounted very often. They’re incredibly popular, so Brooks doesn’t need to slash their price.
However, I’ve just spotted a pair that has been reduced by $30 in the Amazon Spring Sale, bringing its price down to $108.46.

Whenever I tell other runners that my favorite shoe is the Brooks Ghost 16, they give me an understanding nod. That’s because everyone who’s tried a Brooks Ghost running shoe knows it's a solid performer—lightweight, well-cushioned, no-nonsense shoes designed for every runner.
The Ghost 16 has a great level of cushioning, just enough to feel bouncy without feeling wobbly.
Unlike other shoes with bulky padding and stiff structures, I barely notice the lightweight Brooks Ghost 16s when I’m running—a hallmark of a great shoe.
It’s incredibly flexible thanks to the material on its soft upper and the segmented outsole. It sits nicely on my foot and lets me roll through my running gait naturally.
That upper is also incredibly breathable. I ran during the warmer months but my feet never got too hot.
My shoes are designed in a bright orange colorway, but the discounted pair are in subtler shades of black and pink.
Unfortunately, the discount is only applied to certain sizes and designs—so you’ll have to search Amazon for something that suits you.
