If you like affordable, cushioned shoes, I can’t recommend the Skechers Max Cushioning Elite 2.0 enough. Of the many Skechers shoes I’ve tested, the Elite 2.0 remains a firm favorite and I prefer it to some of the more expensive shoes in my best walking shoes guide.

It performs on a level with shoes from brands like Hoka and Brooks, with plenty of cushioning, making it a great choice if you work on your feet all day.

It retails for half the price of the current guide topper, the Brooks Glycerin Max, and with further reductions, such as this 29% off deal at Zappos, it is often one of the most budget-friendly shoes in the guide.

Skechers Women’s Max Cushioning Elite 2.0: was $100 now $71.25 at Zappos

This colorway is reduced to $71.25, which is the lowest I've seen this shoe go. Two sizes are already out of stock, so you'll have to act fast if you want to take advantage of this great saving.

I have a couple of issues with my feet and I walk every day, so I demand a lot from my shoes. The Skechers Max Cushioning range exceeds my requirements—they’re comfy out of the box, suitable for walking miles on hard asphalt and really hard wearing.

Not all the Skechers shoes I’ve tested have impressed me to this extent. I still reach for the Elite 2.0 almost a year after I started wearing them. They’re my go-to pair of shoes when I have nothing to test, and the affordable price means I’m not worried about them getting dirty and scuffed.
