Signing up for one of the best workout apps is a great way to kickstart a new year of fitness and stay motivated over the months ahead.

There are a huge number of workout apps available so getting the right one for you can be tricky. Fortunately, one of our tried and tested Fit&Well favorites is sure to hit the spot—and most of them have worthy savings on annual subscriptions right now.

1. Pvolve

Inspired by Pilates and fronted by Jennifer Aniston, Pvolve focuses on low-impact, resistance-based, functional movements.

There are eight different class categories—strength and sculpt, progressive weight training, cardio burn, mat definition (core-focused workouts), recover and stretch, movement therapy, meditation and getting started, which teaches you some fundamental exercises. There are live Zoom classes too, where you have the opportunity to chat with trainers before and after sessions.

We've reviewed Pvolve and our tester was impressed, saying: "In my three weeks using Pvolve, I got stronger and the workouts got easier. I'd recommend the app to anyone who enjoys Pilates-style exercise routines, or who needs to do low-impact workouts to protect their joints."

Pvolve signature bundle

Save $20 on Pvolve's signature bundle. This consists of a 12-month subscription, plus the precision mat, exercise ball and the Pband—which are all really useful for Pvolve's workouts. This offer expires on January 31st.

2. Centr

Centr was co-founded by Chris Hemsworth, so unsurprisingly it's brimming with workouts designed to help you pack on muscle. However, if you take the time to delve into the app you'll find plenty of resources to support other elements of wellness, such as yoga practices, meal planning options and guided meditations.

The app earned a full five stars in our Centr review, with our tester saying: "The fun classes, challenging self-guided routines, and equipment filters make it convenient and enjoyable to train regularly."

Centr 12-month subscription

Save $45 on an annual subscription to Centr in this deal. You can also try before you buy with a 7-day free trial.

3. Fiit

Fiit focuses solely on workouts, so you won't find any meal plans or meditations here. It does have an extensive library of exercise sessions though, with over 2,000 available. It has bodyweight workouts, dumbbells sessions, kettlebell routines and more; it's also an ideal companion if you're looking for classes on rowing machines, treadmills and exercise bikes.

Feeling competitive? You can challenge your workout buddies to join live sessions and compete for a place on leaderboards. Or forget about the competition and just enjoy the vibes.

We gave the app four out of five stars in our Fiit review, as our tester enjoyed it but found some sessions lacked beginner-friendly options.

Save $48 on an annual subscription to Fiit by using the code JAN2540 at the checkout. This offer expires on January 12th though, so don't hang about. If you're unsure, there's a free version and a 14-day free trial of the full subscription, so you can see if Fiit is right for you before committing.
